What to say about Andy, it’s hard to put it in a short paragraph as I think I could sing his praises for pages.  I’ve known him for about 11 years, and for most of that time have been PT’ing with him in one shape or another, initially at David Lloyd and then following him to his independent set up. 

Every single PT session with Andy in that time has been different, they are challenging, he makes you push yourself, but more than anything they are fun and we have a laugh. I only wish I could do them several times a week.  Whatever age or stage you are at, Andy will tailor the sessions to you and if you are just starting your PT journey with him, you are very lucky indeed.

I was introduced to Andy through a close friend who had been working out with him regularly and I never looked back. Thoroughly enjoy my weekly sessions that at some points have been 3 times a week.

 

Andy is always in a good mood pushing me to do a lot more than I could in the gym myself. Every session is prepared when I walk in and his gym has everything you need to workout all areas. I previously played Tennis professionally and have had many PTs across that time, I can safely say Andy is my favourite. I would recommend him to anyone who is at any stage in their fitness journey. Having suffered with debilitating backache for decades, I had almost given up trying to solve the problem.I tried yoga, swimming, Pilates, walking and various other methods.

Within weeks of starting with Andy, the back pain had disappeared, and my overall health and posture improved immensely. I have continued with two sessions a week for a few years now and it has made a huge difference. I can actually sleep through the night!

Andy is a supportive, friendly, motivating instructor who knows how to get the best out of you. His positive energy encourages you to try your best and he’s always willing to explain how the techniques work.

For anyone putting off going to a personal trainer because they think it will be intimidating, Andy is the exact opposite.

I have been with Andy since early 2019. We hit it off right from the start. He is a great mentor and friend. Andy knows the equipment inside out and would not ask me to do something beyond my physical ability. Andy prepares very well in advance of each session, anticipating the area I need to work on. This creates the variety I am seeking. From the outset, the focus has been on both core strengthening and healthy weight reduction. Over the period I have lost over 12 kilograms thanks to Andy’s training regime and guidance. I give Andy five star!

I have been coming to Andy for over six years, initially, it was to improve my fitness for running. I wasn’t someone who knew much about “the gym”. From day one Andy put me at ease, he took time to listen and understand me as an individual. He introduced me to the Barbell, and soon I was Deadlifting, Squatting, and Bench pressing, with the confidence he had instilled. I moved from novice to confident walking alone into a gym’s free weights area. Andy has supported me from total gym beginner to a National Level Powerlifter.

I was introduced to Andy several years ago and I can safely say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. He has helped me physically and mentally become a better person. After injuring my wrist nearly a decade ago I never thought I would be able to do a push up, now after Andy's training I do over a hundred most sessions. Andy’s gym set up may seem small but it is versatile and he uses it to it’s maximum potential to bring the best out of you. Each session is unique in it’s own way, his understanding of muscle groups and anatomy continually encourages different styles and types of workouts. Andy’s enthusiasm for self-potential is infectious as every few months we have a PB session where each time I have managed to lift more. Not only does he have a wide knowledge of exercise and the human body, he’s also just a nice guy. During exercises we chat about almost anything and this I find just as valuable. He is involved in other exercise classes and exercise holidays which are

also a joy to be a part of. Andy encourages everyone of all abilities in a safe and accepting environment. I would highly recommend Andy to anyone who was considering a personal trainer.

Andy knows his stuff. Not just your standard trainer who cycles through the same workouts, he really listens to the purpose of your training, what you want to get out of it and personalises his workouts to you. I play netball to a high level and so the focus of my training isn’t necessarily to lose weight or to build muscle but to reduce the risk of injury and improve my performance on court. Since seeing Andy regularly, I have noticed the number of injuries I suffer go down dramatically – in fact, the only twisted ankle I did suffer was when I had a few weeks of not being able to see him because I was away with work! He targets the muscles that don’t get as much attention during my usual cardio and match play, and makes sure that my body is suitably strengthened and conditioned to put out my best performance. Although most of this includes the exercises that I really don’t enjoy he somehow makes them fun and I always leave with a smile! Highly recommend him whether you are looking to improve sporting performances, fitness or body aesthetics.

I started training with Andy having returned from living abroad. As a keen hockey player and new Mum I was becoming frustrated by younger hockey players beating me for pace! I decided it was time to do something about it and began training with him 3 times a week. Andy met with me and discussed my motivations to train, get fitter and stronger. Thankfully he set me on the right track from the outset, understood what I needed, what exercises would benefit me the most for hockey and motivated me to train hard. Within a few months I really noticed a difference, not only to my strength, but to my game too. His sessions are always varied, tailored, targeted, fun and well thought through. You always feel like you are getting the personal element with him and not a one size fits all session. Andy is very good at adapting when I am carrying an injury so that I can train safely through it, no excuses! I trained 3 times per week with Andy when I was pregnant with my second daughter. I firmly believe it helped me with a straightforward and speedy delivery as well as bouncing back quickly postpartum. He was great at adapting what was needed to keep all exercises safe and appropriate to each stage of my pregnancy and postpartum recovery. With Andy's help, I have gained the knowledge and confidence to go to the gym on my own (when I am not able to train with him). This has played a massive part in my motivation to become the quickest and fittest I have ever been. His training, encouragement and motivation helped me become a contender to represent my country in the England O40s Masters Hockey Team. I highly recommend training with Andy, it will be the best decision you make for your fitness journey!
